The UCM Black Alliance is hosting a virtual check-in with Lauren Ludlow

June 6, 2022

As many of you know by now, there has been a lot happening in our country from the Uvalde school shooting to the Buffalo mass shooting that targeted Black people.  The Black Alliance stands in solidarity and support of the families who are devastated by these terrible acts of violence.  And as a collective of Black individuals, we also stand against racism in all forms, including anti-Blackness.

In times as these, it is of the utmost importance to stop and ask one another how we are doing and support one another emotionally.  For this reason, the Black Alliance will be offering a check-in and all (students, staff, faculty, community members, friends of friends) are welcome.

This event will be hosted by Lauren Ludlow, a Black woman professional and licensed therapist who has just opened her practice in Merced.  This will be an opportunity to be with community, be vulnerable, express your thoughts and frustrations, and of course meet Ms. Ludlow.
