The Academic Senate Anti-Racism Workgroup established the Faculty Mini-Grants Program to Combat Structural Racism to Promote a More Inclusive UC Campus. Successful proposals were awarded funds in the amount of $5,000 in order to support the work described in their project statement. Dr. Martin and a team of Black PhD students representing the US and Africa, Sabrina Rawson, Jamie Moore, Genevieve Egbunno, and Alisha Jones, submitted a proposal for a Black and African Diaspora Studies Conference. Their proposal was successful, and the graduate conference will be held in February of 2023.
