Dr. Nigel Hatton received a senate grant award to combat structural racism to promote a more inclusive university. Dr. Hatton's project is titled: Captivated Thinking: Addressing Incarceration and the Prisons Surrounding UC Merced Through a Pilot Common Read Program with Potential for the Undergraduate General Education Curriculum.
